Central Park is an immense park (3,4 km², a rectangle of 4 km × 800 m) in the district of Manhattan, to New York.
 Central Park is an oasis for the inhabitants of Manhattan that inhabit in the neighbouring skyscrapers, and is one of the city parks most known some world, thanks also to its appearances in numerous film and made-for-tv movie.
 The park, open in 1856 was planned from Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux. Even if the park seems natural, is in big part opera of a man. To its inside they different artificial lakes are found, extensive paths, two tracks from skating, sober games for children, meadows used for numerous sport. The park is an oasis for the migratory birds and is therefore to populate between the birdwatcher. The long road 9,7 km that surrounds the park is attended from cyclists, persons that do jogging and skaters to rollers, specially in the weekend when is forbidden the pass with the car.
 Every summer theatrical representations to the open in the Delacorte hold Theatre, to the inside of the park. Between the other events accommodated from the sober, there are the goal of the Marathon of New York and the party of Mezzaestate.
